It is an elegant-looking facade featuring repeating patterns that flow seamlessly into one another, with beautifully rounded corners. And it is made from residual materials from the food industry. Panels made from rotten peppers and out-of-date endive?
It is a 100% biobased facade. “In addition, work has also been done on developing a complete facade system,” explains Nina Rodenburg of Foodwaste Facade in this episode of Innovation in 3 Minutes.
“I think the overall result has turned out really well,” she continues. “There is strong visual cohesion, it is 100% biobased and it has a very sophisticated appearance.” However, they still need to see how the colour will develop over time.
