Why you shouldn’t miss Future Facade?
The Imagine phase revolves around the vision, concept, and aesthetic significance of a building or facade. Through the themes Facades shaping cities & identity and Circular Facades & the next life of buildings, we explore how façades contribute to the identity of cities and how circular, future-proof designs shape the built environment of tomorrow. The focus lies on innovation, user experience, and sustainable solutions for the future.
The Making phase focuses on the feasibility and technical realisation of a building or facade. Within the themes From regulation to realisation and Industrialised, scalable & buildable, the emphasis is on how innovative designs are translated into practical, scalable and executable solutions within regulatory frameworks, production methods and construction processes. Regulations, manufacturability, and industrialised building methods play an important role in this process.
The Performance phase concerns the way a facade or building functions and performs. Through the theme The Facade as a system, the facade is approached as an integrated system in which comfort, energy performance, sustainability, and technology come together to optimise overall building performance. The emphasis lies on the collaboration between design, engineering, and material performance to ensure buildings function at their best.
Future Facade does not organise this unique facade event alone.
The programme is carefully put together with various partners and professionals from the industry.
