At Future Facade, Aliplast Aluminium Systems presents Refine, a hybrid window and door system that responds to a growing demand for balanced, future-proof solutions. By combining a PVC core with an aluminium exterior, Refine brings together the thermal efficiency and cost advantages of plastic with the durability and design flexibility of aluminium.

The system is developed and produced in Lokeren, Belgium, where Aliplast has built its reputation since 1984. Today, the company operates internationally, yet keeps its research, development and production closely integrated. “Innovation starts where design, engineering and production meet,” says Marc Mulders, sales manager for the Netherlands at Aliplast. “Refine is a clear example of how we translate that philosophy into a tangible product.”

That translates into a system that offers the visual quality of aluminium, while staying close to the price level typically associated with PVC solutions. The aluminium outer layer ensures durability and gives access to a wide palette of colours and finishes, while the inner core contributes to an efficient and accessible product concept.

What distinguishes Refine is its refined appearance. The concealed sash creates a uniform facade, where fixed and opening parts are visually indistinguishable from the outside. This clean architectural language aligns with current design trends, while the aluminium outer layer provides an extensive range of colours and finishes.

Sustainability is another key aspect. The PVC core is made from recycled material, while aluminium retains its quality over multiple life cycles. “Circularity is no longer optional in facade design,” the company notes. “With Refine, we aim to offer architects a solution that fits both aesthetic ambitions and environmental considerations.”

Aliplast’s presence at Future Facade is therefore no coincidence. The event offers a platform to engage directly with architects and specifiers about evolving expectations in facade design. “Future Facade is the perfect setting to show how innovation can be both pragmatic and forward-looking,” Marc concludes.
