Project information

As energy efficiency becomes a top priority in building design, vacuum insulating glazing (VIG) is paving the way for advanced facade solutions. In the FFS-VIG joint project, innovative VIG-based insulating glass constructions were developed, tested, and prepared for approval. A key focus was the VIG+ system, which combines VIG with a facing glass to provide superior thermal resistance while allowing flexible integration into various installation scenarios.

These advancements have led to new solutions for both vertical glazing in opening window sashes and skylights. The skylight design surpasses current industry standards, offering even greater energy efficiency.

By combining cutting-edge insulation with sleek, adaptable designs, these next-generation window and facade systems play a crucial role in reducing energy consumption in buildings. This breakthrough technology is setting new benchmarks for sustainable, high-performance facades.
