Project information
Our system showcases multiple customizable possibilities according to the climatic context. This is where our project makes an impact. Shading systems are a game changer when it comes to mitigating overheating in buildings (Nazari et al, 2023). To address this challenge, we have designed innovative sunshade based on the following design criteria: Origami inspired geometry – Compact yet sturdy folding patterns to prevent overheating by blocking solar irradiance. Aesthetic appeal – A design that looks elegant and harmonious from the outside of the building. Customizable – Tailored to specific climate zones for optimal performance in diverse environments. View – Must offer occupants with a view from the interior to the outside. Our origami-inspired sunshade combines design with customizability. Operated through a mechanical system, it offers a solution to overheating. The system is fully customizable to meet the demands of varying climates.
