Project information
This system is composed of aluminum/carbon fiber almond-shaped panels that rotate 0–90 degrees, with a fabric membrane spanning between them. Rotation is triggered by the linear thermal expansion of a Nitinol wire spring, enabling passive solar adaptation. A wishbone joinery system ensures uniform movement, while slipping mechanisms enhance wind resistance.
